I agree - but the processing overhead would be too high I suspect. Right now the outline view is built from the Xref data produced by the verifier. It would have to be dynamically updated (deletes, inserts and changes) to make this happen.

I'd settle for being able to turn on/off automatic content assist in the editor. When I'm writing small chunks of code (most of the time) it would be good to have it pop up automatically as it used to do. Why it had to be turned off completely (as opposed to a preference setting or toggle) is a mystery.

I often find myself waiting for the pop up to appear as it would for any other eclipse-based coding I do - only to wake up after a few seconds to the fact that I need to "ask" for it.
