RD Power does not support installing into an existing eclipse, only into
other installed Rational products.

The new release of RAD (8.0) does support Ubuntu 10.4 LTS.

I sincerely hope that (although unsupported) RDP does work on other
OSes... particularly Ubuntu and Mac OSX, because those are the ones
that most IBM i developers will be running. (I'd love to see
FreeBSD, which is what I personally use -- but I recognize that it's
not a big market for IBM.)

I don't think you'll find it works at all on OSX ... since the native code
is undoubtably supported strictly on X86 linux.

I have installed and played with it on 32-bit Ubuntu 10.4. This is
unsupported and I have noticed several graphic glitches. Your mileage
may vary.

I wonder if installing RDP 8 in an existing Eclipse 3.6.1 install, running
on Ubuntu, might correct the graphic glitches.
