IBM has traditionally supplied it's own JRE for RD* & WDSC (a Windows version of the J9 JVM), so I suspect the same will apply with a Linux version.

As such, it won't be THAT portable to other platforms.

*IF* they eliminated the remaining native components of RDp, then it _may_ be possible to use a different JRE ... but there are no guaranties.
