David,

I can't say I remember where this was in WDSC 6.0, but there should be a
property in Preferences called "Text file encoding". Search for it by
typing "encoding" in the search field at the top of the preferences
navigation bar. On my installation (Rdi-SOA), this property is in
"General > Workspace". You will probably need to select ISO-8859, (just
guessing here)...

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Characters in LPEX unreadable on green screen

Hi All,

I keep getting caught out with this : copying and pasting from a Word
document to LPEX editor. The apostrophe is unreadable with SEU. As I
don't use SEU, I don't find out until it is too late and then the
greenscreeners start complaining.

If I do DSPPFM on the source member, I can see that the apostrophe I
pasted from Word has a Hex value of 3F instead of 7D. I don't suppose
there is something I could tweek in the preferences to stop this from
happening?

Thanks.
