Hello everyone,

I would like to start writing some Java to run on our SystemI box.  I'm still using WDSC 6.0.1 to code in COBOL and there is no immediate way to upgrade that piece of the the process.  What do I need to do to configure it so that my new Java code is stored on the SystemI box and then executes there as well.  I've been searching IBM's site but can't seem to get my search right, I've also been slogging thru the archives and can't seem to find what I need.  I need as detailed information as possible.  If you can  point me to some beginner stuff on the 'net as well that would be great.

Background if interested:  We have a java batch process that we created to run in websphere that converts XML that is pulled from an Oracle table, is converted and then inserted into DB2 tables on our iSeries.  Websphere isn't as dependable as I'd like and I'd like to run the whole process from our iSeries if possible.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Cole
