I don't know about PHP being preloaded or preconfigured on V6R1. If it is
preloaded, try this:

STRTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(ZENDSVR)

If you get a bunch of ZENDSVR jobs running, try this address from a browser:

http://<your_i>:10088/Samples/

and see if the samples page pops up.

Michael;

Right now I don't know what server I'm using, what initiated my email
originally was when verifying the http server installation, and trying to
access the http://myserver:2001

Judging by the documentation PHP runtime is preloaded with ibm i 6.1, so
does that mean I have the servers you referenced.

During the verification process I got stopped on starting web
administration step with an authority issue although I have syscfg
authority. Maybe this is a step I don't need also?
My ptf seem to be correct, and there are no .jar file in the QIBM/Prod
path as the error asked me to check.

Thanks

Re: [WDSCI-L] Websphere Application Server Product code

I think that's talking about running both WAS stuff and PHP stuff at the
same time. I have PHP running on a system now and there's no WAS. Just go
through the PHP install process...I'm assume you're using Zend Server 5.2
or
5.3, right? All you have to do is install it, start the instance, and run
the samples.

Michael;

Looking back at the verification process as described for PHP install, I
see this instruction:

If you plan to use WebSphere Application Server with the HTTP Server,
install a version of the WebSphere Application Server Apache plug-in
that
is compatible with your current level of HTTP Server. If the proper
WebSphere Application Server PTFs are not loaded, the mismatch will
prevent the HTTP Server from starting.

So, novice that I am, does that mean I can run a PHP without it?
I guess my next step is to learn how to run a php.

Thanks.

Why do you need Websphere Application Server for PHP? I don't think you
do.
WAS v6.1 on V5R4 is licensed program 5733W61.

Morning;

I'm in the process of installing php for the iseries, and going the
the
process of verifying all the products required. In looking at the
licensed programs, I seem to have all the ones I need, but I can't
seem
to
identify the program for WAS.

I was hoping someone would know the product code I need to see.

Also, I don't seem to find a way to tell what version of WAS is
installed.

To be truthfull, I'm not really sure if it has been installed or
configured.

I see these in wrkactjob, but they may just be the default.
