Go to Windows, Preferences, then click the + next to Run/Debug, iSeries Debug, and check the "Update Production Files" checkbox. See if that does the trick.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Debug Error - File Cannot be opened while UPDPROD(*NO)

Hello all,

Does any know what I can do to fix this? Once I have set up my Service
Entry Point and call the program to start debug. It blows and gives me
the message "File cannot be opened while UPDPROD(*NO). I found some info
on the net that said to go to the menu bar and select RUN -> DEBUG ->
iSeries Debug & check update productions files. So I went to RUN ->
DEBUG and I check the update production files on 3 iSeries
configurations (iSeries debug batch application, iSeries debug
interactive application & iSeries debug multi thread application) the
closed my SEP's exit out of WDSC and try again and still keep getting
same message. Not sure what else to try?

I'm using WDSC 7

Thanks,
