There is no cost to go from RDi to RDP

Is there a cost to upgrade from RDi to RDP?

I think I finally got approval to get RDi when we load 6.1, so I'm
wondering if I need to adjust my request to RDP. We wouldn't really use
the screen/report designer. Are there any other changes that might be
worthwhile for an RPG programmer?

The RPG list has been talking about the price of development software and
how it's always been there. I think IBM shot themselves in the foot by
making the programmers justify the need for the purchase. I agree that a
programmer should justify the cost, but consider this: if we always paid
for WDSCi, including shops that only used SEU, well that's got to be the
ideal for IBM. Now that it has a separate cost vs a hidden cost (if
SEU-only shops knew they were paying for WDSCi, wouldn't they have
complained since they weren't using it?). So all around it seems like a
new cost. We on the list know there was a cost before, but I find it hard
to explain that when asking for money for the software - which leaves the
justification in the hands of benefits to the software (of which there are
many from SEU to RDi, but from WDSCi to RDi, it's quite less).

So if there is a cost to go from RDi to RDP, I'd like to hear about other
RDP benefits so I can consider which IDE I should be asking for.
