Related to WDSC, I pretty much never use WDSC to compile a production
object. I want to promote all the changed objects together as it were,

Less related to WDSC, I strongly recommend using a trigger mediator
program rather than directly attach the 'real' logic to the file. File
locks aren't an issue then. Alan Campin has an example at
