It is my understanding that the parameters can be data structures, so you can mask the limitation. Also the parameters can be input and/or output.

We did our first web service using the web services server about 6 - 7 months ago. There have been no issues and the setup us amazingly simple.

My only issues are the limitations on the return value and number parameters. The return value can only be 4i and there is a limitation of 6 parameters. It is my understanding this is a limitation of the java toolbox used to build the server but I might be wrong about that. These limitations have been discussed several times on the lists. I'm not sure which one though.

I've implemented a Java based solution which works fine but which is rather slow (could be a garbage collection issue - we're looking into it).

This might be a plan B if we cannot fix the Java stuff. I'd really love to hear experiences from people who have used it :)
