Thanks Bill.
I did not hurt anything in my WDSc workspace as I made a copy of it and used the copy to point RDi to.
My problem is that RDi just ignored everything in my copy of the WDSc workspace.
I would have expected that the Rational people would have provided a means to internaly convert the connections and filters from WDSc.

I will try the import method and see what happens there.

Jeff:

I think you should create a new workspace for RDi.  I hope RDi didn't step on anything in your WDSC work space.

I remember some of the folders which contain connections, filters, etc can be copied.  Does anyone have a list???  Maybe put it in the Wiki.

WDSCi 7 is built on Eclipse 3.1 and WDSCi 6 is build on Eclipse 2.1 (a little fuzzy on the older one).  Anyway RDi is build in Eclipse 3.4.1 and that won't be compatiable with the earlier Eclipses.  So while the connections and filters may be fine, the Eclipse specific things have changed considerably.

So I could create a fresh workspace for RDi and try importing from the old workspace.  Where that won't work bring them up side by side and create new iSeries things.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] New RDi install with copy of WDSC workspace has noconnections

I have just installed RDi 7.5 SOA, updated it with the latest fixes and copied my WDSC workspace to a new folder named RDi.
When I lanuch the RDi workbench, under the Remote Systems view, I have no connections.
What did I miss in setting up the RDi environment?

Thanks,
