Bryce,

For programs with a large number of variables it can be slow between steps as it does appear to refresh every one of them; or maybe it's refreshing the list. Either way it is slow. What I have done is open the outline view and place it in the same area as the variables view. I have heavily customized my debug view so I can't give you an exact spot. For large variable lists I select the monitor view so the variables aren't reloaded each time. Makes it much faster. If I need the variable view I just click on the variables view tab.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Debugging using WDSCi very slow

Is there a way to speed up the debugging process in WDSCi? Here is what I mean...

When I hit my break point and go to check the value of the variable it takes a couple seconds for the value to show up in the little box when I hover over the variable. Not only that, when I step over to the next statement it takes a couple seconds until it seems like it reloads all the variables or checks their values or something. I'm just wondering what tweaks I can make to speed things up. I love SEPs and debugging from WDSCi, but its definitely slower than the green screen right now.

Thanks
