I didn't know the right click method because L and E aren't
indicated on my V6. L works but F for fill doesn't.

It's L then E. That's L for se*l*ected and E for Fill s*e*lection...

Do I remember right? Default behavior in 2000 and up is NOT to show the
accelerators with underlines? There is a setting for that, I think -
yes. Right-click on desktop (or with mouse on desktop, hit that
context-menu key!!0, click on Properties, then select the Appearance
tab, then click on Effects - there is an option there.

I believe you are correct that the default is to now show the accelerators
with underlines. However, if you press Shift+F10 to display the context
menu rather than right-click, they still show up. I guess the logic is
that if you want to use the keyboard to do things, it will show the
accelerators to help you do that.
