Compiling the SQLRPGLE defaults to debug view of *LISTING and for the RPGLE I had to specify *LIST for the debugging view.

Then when debugging using an SEP, the debugger seems to flake out and doesn't always return or execute the line I expect. It seems like it's all over the place after the first or second time the view switches to the copy member and then back to the parent source member.

What view is the debugger using? I believe it looks up the source on the system by default. Sometimes the debugger will choose cached source from your workspace as well, which can be out of date.

If you right-click in the source being debugged, make sure that the Debug View is *LIST. There should be an obvious difference in appearance. For example, syntax highlighting will disappear.
