You might look at the system debugger - sometimes called the graphical debugger - sometimes other things.

It is part of the Java Toolkit - Scott Klement just wrote up something on it - I don't have the link right now. But you can get the user manual at

I have not tried it with C code, but it is NOT using the same code base as the WDSC one. Or even the RDi one!

And you can do SEP breakpoints with it - as Scott wrote in that article.

Hi,
I was debugging a C program.

I just moved from WDSC 6.0 to RDi 7.5.

Is there some way to NOT use the LPEX editor as I would like this feature more than the LPEX editor.

Spencer,

Did you debug a RPG or ILE COBOL program ? If the Remote System LPEX
Editor is used by debugger, fly over evaluation only works for RPG and ILE
COBOL source.
This is something changed when debugger moved to use Remote system LPEX
Editor as default a couple releases ago.

Thanks,

subject: [WDSCI-L] RDi 7.5 Debug Cursor Over Tip

The RDi 7.5 debugger no longer shows a variables value in a tool tip by
placing the cursor on the variable.

Does anyone know how to turn this function back on?

Thanks
