I take a look thanks.
Strangely, not all the PCs have this error, but I suppose it could be
specific to the PCs that to have the error.
I will compare the set up of Code Pages between the PCs that do work and
don't.

members.

I've not received that exact error, but I received a similar one before.

It turned out the content I was trying to save had content (hex values)
that the code page did not allow. In my case, I copied content from an
iSeries source member, to a PC SQL script in the data perspective, but
the content contained a highlight hex value, that the local PC code page
did not allow.

I deleted the highlight bytes in the source (which were not visible
btw), and it then worked.

Checking content might be worth a try in your case.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] cp037 / cp285 error when trying to edit Source
members.

Hi all, I am using Windows XP SP3.

Using version 1.1.2 of Installation manager

Version 7.0.0.4 of WDSC

Version 3.2.2 of Eclipse.

When I am try to edit a source member I get an error message as follows:

RSEF1002E

Operation failed. File system input or output error

If I click on details, I get a message as follows:

Message reported from file system: Cp285

285 is the CCSID of the source member in question.

If I use another source file with say a CCSID of 37 and try to edit
source in there, I get a similar message but with cp037.

Has anyone seen this before?

Thanks in advance,

Andras
