Run netstat /a from the command line on the PC - see if port 4300 is in use
by another application.

I've gotten some interesting errors from WDSc in the past, but this one is
new (for me, at least). After opening a source member (RPGLE) for edit, I
pressed the icon to refresh the Outline View and got the following popup
error message:

RSEC2201E: The RSE communications daemon could not be started on port
4300. Check that the port is free and restart the daemon or change the
port used by the daemon using the Remote Systems -> Communications
Workbench preference page.

Now, I can go out and change the port on the preference page, but...what
would cause this and where would I go (on my system) to find more
information about the port and any conflicts or other issues?

I'm using WDSc V6.0.1, Build 20050725_1800. I found no references in the
archives to this issue.

Thanks in advance,
