Does anyone know how those files are created,
EVFEVENT is created when a program is compiled in a library that does
not have an EVFEVENT file.

and why sometimes the MAXMBRS is set to *NOMAX but not always?

Every library on my machine has MAxMBRS set to *NOMAX. A long time ago
I recall someone else having this issue, but it turns out someone had
actually manually changed the EVFEVENT file for some unknown reason.

I'd check all the EVFEVENT files just to be certain, and then if it
happens again, contact IBM.
