I am afraid that from a work perspective, I would have to say 1. We have a Windows-only desktop policy and I use a number of Windows-only products (e.g. MS Visual Studio).

From a personal perspective, I think it is a great idea. I am a big fan of Linux and have used it on my personal desktop for years. My laptop is a dual-boot but that is another matter.

For an Outlook-like e-mail client, have you looked at Evolution?
