Thank goodness for those Reset options. Once, after noodling around for about 45 minutes I had completely hosed up everything and I *didn't* know that I could just "Reset" stuff. I almost re-installed and then tripped across a "tips and tricks" article for Eclipse. Saved my day.... ALMOST as good as CTRL-Z :-)

I quickly learned to use "Save Perspective As" to keep my desired customizations of the default perspectives. That way, when I got lost after playing around, I could avoid starting from scratch and having to get the size of all the view "just right" again.

A side benefit is that you can give them shorter names like "RSE" for my version of "Remote Systems Explorer". It's nice to have more than one perspective in the shortcut bar (upper right) without having the toolbar flow onto a second line.
