The best resource for these sorts of things is IBM DeveloperWorks. Just
do a search on "PureXML".

PureXML is a "Viper" (DB2 9.x for Windows/Unix/Linux or z/OS) technology
that, unfortunately, hasn't been ported to DB2 for i yet. I don't know
if getting this support is on the radar, but I hope so.
