I have been thinking about how to improve subfiles and the most obvious is
changing the way the scroll bar works (For example use next and previous
buttons instead of the current scroll bar) and improve look of the table.
It would also be nice if you could customize the subfile via a template or
widget that applies to the look of all subfiles as described in this
comment by Stu B at:
http://wdsc.wordpress.com/2008/04/21/web20facing/#comment-3342

These are some other things that I have been thinking about:
- Having the option to displaying more subfile data than the subfile
page size
- Having buttons to go to the beginning and end of the subfile and
showing which page of the subfile you are on (of course this would only
work for some subfile definitions, but would give you a Web like
behaviour for data navigation especially for non-editable data)
- Displaying the next and previous buttons at the top left of the
subfile table
- Improve the headings of subfiles
- create buttons for subfile options such as 2=change and turn subfile
records into single select records
- add mouse over styling to subfile rows
- support SFLSNGCHC and SFLMLTCHC
- stabilize the size of the subfile table as you page through it and the
data changes

Is this what you are also thinking? If you have specific ideas on what to
improve please let us know.
I don't have an example at the moment, but I will take a look at the
suggestions that you provide and let you know what can be done with the
current release and what can be considered for future enhancements.

Thanks,

That is great. Do you have anything that will improve how subfiles look?

I have an example of how you can modify the CmdKeys.jsp file so that it is
customized to look like buttons and is included in all WINDOW DDS records.
See the following Web Site for the sample:

http://webfacing.wikidot.com/webfacing-dds-window-keyword-customization-tech

niques
The above example does not change the look of the main page command keys,
it affects how the active keys are displayed when a Window record is on the
screen.
If you let me know exactly what you are looking for, I can try to come up
with an example that would modify the look of the command keys on the main
page.

Thanks,

Does anyone have an example of modifying the CmdKeys.jsp file to change its
appearance in a web facing project?

Thanks,
