I sure hope so! So far, I haven't done too much with it
but the example
has a script that stuffs the current date into an editor
selection. That's very promising to me because it
indicates that I can manipulate text inside the editor,
which I used to do for things like generating skeleton
code from external DDS.

With the demise of ReXX, I was forced into writing a
plug-in, which is way too much like work.
