When I use my cursor and select some code then hit delete, the code is
deleted. However, if I use ctl-A to select all lines, then hit delete,
it deletes one character (wherever my cursor happens to be). More to the point, I use ctl-A to select all code then I do a ctl-V to
paste over it, but really, I'm not pasting over it, I'm pasting into the
selected code.
This seems like a bug with Ctrl-A, Kurt, and I'd report it. The workaround is to hit Ctrl-Home to position your cursor at the top and then press Ctrl-Shift-End to mark to the end. Both Delete and Ctrl-V will now work as you expect.
