Hi.

I am investigating my options for debugging Java programs which have already been started, without the Java incantations that allow me to attach a traditional Java debugger.

One of these appear to be the "Debug as" -> "iSeries job" right mouse click option on an job in the Remote System Explorer, which I invoke on the job appearing when I start the java program in qsh (Name: QP0ZSPWP). The debugger view appears, but the debugger is almost immediately terminated with

"Platform: null Connection: ourhost:3825 Error: (1) Host: CPF3CF2 Error(s) occurred during running of QteRetrieveDebuggedThreads "

The host runs V5R3 and "Verify Connection" reports everything to be ok.

Have I misunderstood, and this is only for non-Java jobs?

I'd appreciate any pointers.

Best regards,
