I had seen the stabilized ADTS mention in the announcement letter and
during the webcast on System i network I asked if that would mean that
future versions of SEU would not support new keywords. I had saved the
chat text:

Q: ADTS is "stabilized" Does that mean that new keywords in RPGLE would
not be recognized by SEU?

A (Todd Britton) : while we don't have plans for future releases in place
yet, its likely that new keywords would not be supported by SEU in the
future. However, we will make those detailed decisions as we plan new
releases.

My interpretation is that V6R1 keywords will be ok but future ones may not
be.

Thierry.

I don't want to contradict what the announcement said, but I definitely
did *not* get the sense from George that ADTS was "stabilized".
(Stabilized is the new term for saying that no new features, even syntax
changes, will get into the product.) I was listening pretty carefully,
and it sounded like WDSC and CODE were stabilized, but that ADTS would
at least get the minimum modifications required to support new syntax.

For example, the new TEMPLATE keyword in RPG should not trigger a syntax
error in V6R1 SEU, but I could be wrong. I've got an email out trying
to confirm this.

Sounds like the SEU folks will get syntax errors if they use V6R1
goodies. Probably won't help the adoption of V6 features any.
