Wow ! I was just browsing an RPGLE member in LPEX and wanted to type something, without realising I wasn't in edit mode. Obviously the text wouldn't enter. Then, as one does, I scrabbled a few keys, half to verify that I was not in edit mode and half because I was frustrated. I never saw WDSc shut down so quick. Even quicker than killing it with the task manager the way you have to every now and again.

I think your environment crashed. When I installed WSDCi from scratch having access to both the 7.0.0.0 distribution and the 7.0.0.4 patch (which the documentation says it can) the installed WSDCi crashed all the time for me. Fully installing 7.0.0.0 and then updating to 7.0.0.4 helped a lot.

Perhaps it is some C library method that fails?
