But what if I could have zero-deployment through the web? Then, those Eclipse-based application could immediately become available to my users.

With a bit of magic (for the native libraries) it should be quite simple to deploy RCP applications through Web Start.

Please note that we have had a lot of "interesting" issues with Web Start, so you may want to consider one of the alternatives. I have not myself experimented with those so I cannot make any recommendations.
