Joe, your comments relative to PDM (ADTS) as usual are quite salient but I
would like to suggest an analogy between it and most toll roads. We have
paid for them many times over, have gotten use to them and they, and in most
case (bridges excepted) only need occasional maintenance. The "IBM Smart
Guys" have got to understand this.

On another subject, I suggest that you check the time setting on what ever
equipment that you are transmitting you midrange email through. The time
tags on all of your EGL vs. Java message were an hour off the rest of the
folks messages.

By the way, that thread broke the record for thread entry count - over 120
messages.

The 2 second response time is best case, worst case is 20+ seconds. Of
that time, more than 95% is the outputing of the HTML via CGI/RPG.

In that case consider putting a http proxy in front of the CGI/RPG
program, which can remove the response as quickly as possible from the
program and allow it to serve again instead of having it to wait until
the complete document is served to the user.
