I think you've hit it - no expertise. I've done web projects with Java
and JSF stuff in WDSC but no clue how to do all that hidden
configuration you mentioned in the Struts project.

EGL

Struts IS a JSP/Java based web framework so, you are already there in
some respects. You might get better responses on the WEB400 or JAVA400
forums here at Midrange but it sounds like you don't need conversion as
much as expertise.

My only "complaint" about Struts was that there is a ton of "hidden"
configuration in the framework particularly in Struts 1.xx. It was
always difficult for me to figure what action triggered what action
triggered what action etc. I don't write applications that use Struts
myself but I have had to maintain quite a bit of Struts based code over
the past couple of years.

Not sure what you would want to convert to. Struts 2.xx is pretty
current stuff although other frameworks are easier to develop in and
maintain (IMHO).

Does anyone know if there is tooling in WDSC V6/V7 to will enable a
STRUTS application to be "converted" to Java/JSP or EGL? We have an
App that was written in STRUTS but the developer moved on and we now
need to maintain it. Nobody else very familiar with it. Looking for
best way to modernize and update. Any thoughts? Unfortunately, I am
not literate enough in STRUTS to know how difficult this would be.
