But Jon, didn't it seem that the idea was to allow you to migrate from
ADTS to RDi? So in effect, you *are* gettig RDi entitlements, you just aren't getting entitled to BOTH.

I think that may have been what we wanted to hear Joe, but it wasn't what was on the charts.

When they presented the new packaging to the Toronto User Group yesterday they _very_ explicitly stated that there was ZERO entitlement to RDi. They were asked again and reiterated that there was no RDi entitlement. There was a lot of dark muttering at that point.

The entitlement is to WDSC (not sure about user limits) and they get a tiered number of users for ADTS.

The charts are supposed to be going up on the TUG web site soon - as soon as they appear I'll post here.
Jon, after some frantic email to the Rational folks, I've received word back that a trade-up is definitely in the works, they just didn't have time to alert the TUG group, and evidently George didn't want to spill the beans because it wasn't official.

I gather there's still some behind-the-scenes gnashing of teeth regarding the details, but it's my clear impression that you will be able to upgrade your ADTS seats to RDi seats. I could be wrong, of course, and until we actually see an official announcement nothing is cast in stone. But that's the comment I received directly from Todd Britton, so I think there's a good chance it will stick.

Joe
