If you ase going to do all that work, why not just use Alan Campin's COMPILE command instead? It lets you embed the compile commands as comments directly within the source member. That way, any overrides to any parameters etc. never 'get lost' and they are automatically "remembered" with the source member, because they are IN the source code.

Could be. It's just annoying that I'm pretty sure Code/400 used to hold compile information by member. Just something to remember for the future. For the moment, I'll just scoop off the compile command from the iSeries Commands Log and put them into a CL program myself. Once I figure out how to do so, I'll script that to automate it.
