I have seen this issue or problem come up over and over again, in several different contexts, including compile problems (with getting the errors back) and when running the WDSCi equivalent of FNDSTRPDM ...

It occurs to me that IBM could fix this problem by making WDSCi do the following -- if a user profile has *CRTDFT for CURLIB, use the user profile name as the library name; if it doesn't exist, create it automatically, and place the event file (EVENTF) in this userID library (in lieu of *CURLIB).

Perhaps you need to look at your user profile and make sure it's not CURLIB(*CRTDFT)....

It's set to *USRPRF, so still no luck there.

By the way have u had this annoying pb with the decimal point? On changing
from V5 to V6 the point on the number key pad has become a comma.

David,

Is your current directory filled in correctly under the properties /
subsystems / iSeries commands page of your connection?

It must not be *CRTDFT, I think to remember.

Thanks that gets rid of the first line in the command view but still no

David,

look in the preferences under Remote Systems / iSeries / Command
Execution.

The checkbox next to "compile in batch" should not be checked.

Re: [WDSCI-L] Compiling

Peter,

I've taken off the SBMJOB, but I still get the same 2 lines in the command
view.

SBMJOB CMD(CALL PGM(MY_COMPILER) PARM(MYPGM MYLIB)/* EVENTF
SRCMBR(MYSOURCE)
*/) JOBD(*USRPRF) JOBQ(QBATCH1) USER(FOXWELL)
Travail 188195/FOXWELL/QPGMR soumis à la file d'attente QBATCH1 de QGPL.

CALL PGM(CALL PGM(MY_COMPILER) PARM(MYPGM)/* EVENTF SRCMBR(MYSOURCE) */
La commande est terminée

The file EVFEVENT is in the library MYLIB with member MYSOURCE, but no
error
list is returned to WDSc.
If I use CRTRPGMOD or CRTSQLRPGI, I get the error list OK.

Thanks.
