You can easily reuse the command you already have set up.

Either:
1) Create separate connections, each of them with an appropriate call to your custom command.
2) Create separate "iSeries Commands", each with an appropriate call to your command. Then changing
your library list is but a click away.

Subject: Re: [WDSCI-L] WDSC vs SEU

In V7, when I open "iSeries Objects" in my connection, I have an
element
named "Library List". Opening that
shows links to all libraries specified on my current libl... Right
clicking on any of this gives me
add/remove/move options....

Thanks. I do that if I'm only adding or removing a couple
libraries. It does work ok. I have a production command
that I use to set our environment lib lists. I think I'll
put it in my lib and modify it to setup my library list in my
most used configs.

As others have mentioned, perhaps you need to make sure that you are
starting the RSE communications daemon....
Window > Preferences
Then drill down to Remote Systems > Communications This checkbox
should be checked.

It is.
I found another one at Windows > Preferences > Remote Systems
iSeries > Run RSE Communications on remote system checked
it, and instead of it asking for RSE to be turned on it gives this
error: JobSubSystemImpl.getServerJob: Miner info node not found

The WRKxxxxx commands.... Depending on the specific command, there
are
built-in operations in WDSCi 7.0
that provide similar functionality. The iSeries Jobs
subsystem in RSE
is equivalent to WRKACTJOB,
where as Library, Object, or Member filters in RSE give you WRKLIB,
WRKOBJ, or WRKMBR capabilities.

Thank you for the tip. I played around with those a little
more to see if
they would work for me, but they were too cumbersome and time
consuming to
be worth it. But that's ok, I'm resigned to the alt-tab life
now. Maybe
some things are better left to the emulator after all. =)
