I have experienced the exact same error sometimes. I'm also on the same

(latest) build of V7.

But it doesn't always pop up. maybe the people who checked it when you
reported it, had a lucky day...

I have it happen all the time regardless of where the IF statement is.
It makes no difference if the C/EXEC SQL follows immediately after the
IF or there is some code between the IF and the C/EXEC SQL the results
of the conversion are the same.

Maybe since this is not isolated to just me someone can look at it and
fix it. I am guessing that an APAR will have to be generated again.
