If you are willing to write Java, then you can call the existing APIs in
WDSC. In the Help Contents under the RSE Developer Guide, there is some
information and an API reference.

Since there does not seem to be the equivalent to the CODESRV function in
WDSc, it would be great if we could figure out how get Eclipse Monkey
read
field information from the 'iSeries Field Table View'.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to go about extracting that table data?

It's my understanding that the WDSC plug-ins and extensions are not open
source and not documented as APIs. Meaning that there's no official way
to hook into Lpex and friends. Anything we do toward that end would be
officially not supported. Meaning a fix pack or the next version might
have a very different internal layout.

I don't know enough Java to pick apart the WDSC extensions by myself.
Basically, we have to figure out what the various objects and methods
are so we can hook into them.

Baby steps :-)
