CRTPGM doesn't create an event file, so you'll never see the errors in the error listing view. If you have commands set to NOT submit to batch, the commands and the messages that they generate will show up in the iSeries Commands Log. If they submit to batch, there are settings in the Command Execution preferences that look like they should have something to do with where the messages go, but I haven't played with them so I can't be sure. I have mine set to not submit compiles and user actions to batch because I find it easier - no worries about job queue backups, and the log works like a champ.

But there was nothing there for the CRTPGM command. I get error there
when I do the modules but not the CRTPGM command. I would like to find
the error that goes with this. Can anyone help?
