I was able to download the update through Software Updates -> Find and
Install in V6.

The only complaint that I have is that it moved my iSeries Spooled Files and
iSeries Messages to the bottom of my connection. They had both been at the
top of my connection above iSeries Objects, where it was very convenient to
get to them. Now that they are at the bottom, I have to scroll down past
all my filters to even see them, and I can't move them back up. Very
inconvenient and annoying.

Jason,

When I tried to download the extensions just now, I got a "Firefox can't
establish a connection to the server at support.softlanding.com" error.

Also, why do we have to fill in our information every time again when
there's an update? The "scan for updates" function from within WDSCi
doesn't work for me either...

This doesn't mean I don't like the extensions ( I love them, and am very
grateful that your company makes them available), but I do find the update
procedure very complicated.

Thanks,

[WDSCI-L] The RSE Extensions have been updated to version 6.1.2

Version 6.1.2 of the RSE extensions have been posted to our website.

Both "show in table" context menu options from the spooled file plug-in
now work in WDSc 7.

It is important to note that once you download the new version to your
PC, the extension location in WDSc 7.x must be configured to point to
the new version. The following are instructions to this:

Open WDSc
Click on Help
Choose Software updates > Manage Configuration
Expand the extension location you have configured for your RSE Extensions
Right click on Softlanding Extensions to RSE 6.x.x
Choose Replace with > Another Version
Choose Softlanding Extensions to RSE 6.1.2

Softlanding Extensions to RSE adds support for working with spooled files
and messages to IBM's Remote Systems Explorer. It also adds a perspective
named iSeries Editing that optimizes the layout for editing.
