This may have been asked and answered previously so forgive me if this is
the case.

It appears there are a few things we lost with v7.0. I have uninstalled
v6.0 and installed v7.0. Is there any danger for me to reinstall v6.0
now?

Tks,

Up until WDSC v7 IBM used to ship WebArt Designer.
WebArt Designer makes it easy to create, manipulate, and edit graphics and
image files.
If customer installs WDSC v7 and has projects created with previous
versions of WDSC then WDSC v7 provides nothing
to maintain any artifacts originally created with WebArt Designer.
IBM made a business decision to not ship WebArt any longer. The RAD
product has moved focus more to Rapid Development around J2EE
technologies. Graphical tools has gotten out of its focus.

Here is Tosh's circumvention:

Before customer removes WDSC v6 to replace with WDSC v7 on his PC then
copy this folder
<WDSC 6 install
ath>\Rational\SDP\6.0\rwd\eclipse\plugins\com.ibm.etools.webedit_6.0.0 to
a new directory i.e c:\webart

Then just execute c:\webart\webart.exe - this will launch WebSpehere
Studio WebArt Designer
Customer can add this application to WDSC v7 as an external application.

If he intends on keeping both WDSC v6 and v7 then he doesn't need to copy
the folder, he can simply point the path for webart.exe to
<WDSC 6 install
ath>\Rational\SDP\6.0\rwd\eclipse\plugins\com.ibm.etools.webedit_6.0.0
