I created a new program with a print file (external) and the outline
view showed the 2 records and the fields in each record. I added 2 new
records and put the code in to write the new records and populate the
fields. I clicked on Verify and got lots of errors saying the fields in
the new record were not defined. I refreshed the outline view and the
additional records still don't show. I compiled through RSE and the new
records came up as errors again. There is only one copy of the print
file anywhere on the machine. I then went to the green screen and
compiled the program successfully. Went back to RSE and tried verify
again with the same results. I tried compile and it worked. Verify
does not work and the outline view does not show the 2 records. I did
create a data structure for one of the records but no field definition
specs. This shows up in the outline view as Unknown. Since it compiles
OK it isn't too bad, but it is annoying. It still acts flaky at times
and will drop views, rearrange the sequence of source members, a source
member may disappear from the view and I will have to click refresh to
get them back.

Thanks
