From: Michael Ryan

So I developed an itsy bitsy web service thing in WDSC. Invoke it
(using the WDSC test server) and it gets a parm and passes back a
value. No big thing. I want to deploy it to WAS on the iSeries. I've
tried exporting as an EAR and as a WAR. Seems to export ok...no errors
anyway. But when I try an install it as an application in AS/400 Tasks
(2001), I get

"Error: There were problems accessing the specified EAR/WAR file
/WebSvc/WebSvc.ear. Make sure the EAR/WAR file is on the system and
try the request again."

Michael, what are the steps you took? How did you get the EAR or WAR file
onto your IFS? Did you maybe do an inadvertent ASCII/EBCDIC thing during
the copy? Did you check for authority issues?

If you want, you can email me the EAR/WAR and in my copious free time I can
try to install it here.

Joe
