Hi,

I have converted an OPM Cobol to and ILE and am debugging it using
SEP's.

When I initially get into the program all the program variables are
shown in the variables view and I resume to the first breakpoint. At
this point the variables are still shown and it highlights in red the
ones that have changed since entering the program, great so far.

I have two fields I am interested in and both are shown to contain the
expected values, but on the monitors view (where I have used the monitor
expression on these two fields) show a value of "Syntax error
occurred.".

When I step to the next line of code all of the variables disappear from
the variables view but the fields in the monitors view are shown
correctly.

When I step again they again show a value of "Syntax error occurred."
and still nothing is shown in the variables views.

This toggling between valid values and the syntax error happens on each
step through the code. The code being executed at the time has nothing
to do with the two fields and the output records produced do not get the
valid values, which is then causing duplicate key errors.

I am using version 6.0.1.

If anyone has got any ideas how to solve this issue I would be very
grateful.

Best regards,
