I've experienced problems with it too. I think it simply doesn't work.

AM question - concatenate two files

I'm used to the bash shell (Linux), so QShell isn't entirely unfamiliar to
me, but I'm a bit confused here. The QShell documentation in the
InfoCentre, says that I should be able to use the 'cat' command like so

cat file1 file2 file3 > all.files

to "display the contents of three different files at the same time and
save their contents into a new file." This is what I would expect given
my other Unix-type shell experience. However, if I run this in the Remote
Shells view, I get the message that "The given command has syntactical
errors". I ran it using STRQSH in iSeries Access for Windows, and it
worked just as I would expect ... printed both files to the screen, and
saved the combined contents in 'all.files'.

I've tried right-clicking on the error message in the Remote Shell view,
but I can't seem to get any more details about what precisely the error
was.

Any ideas?
Adam
