Violaine,

As long as it isn't a popup dialog box, that would be a nice feature.
You may want to look into providing a new kind of message notification window;
one that fades in, stays on screen for X seconds and then fades out, but is
passive or modeless (I think modeless that's the term we used to use for dialogs
that allowed work to continue uninterrupted).

The idea, in this context is, you do a conversion and nothing converts. A window
fades-in with the message in large size text, that says "No statements eligible
for conversion." It stays on the screen for 3 to 5 seconds and then fades away.
It would be just a simple rectangle or rounded rectangle with a colored
background (color sent by Preferences but defaults to black text on a dull,
yellow background) and the rectangle has 60 percent or so opacity, but the text
is 100% opaque.

If you don't like the fade-in/fade-out thing, maybe a "slider popup" is better.
This dialog pops up like toast in a toaster when its done--hangs around for X
seconds or until the little "X" is clicked to close it, and then retreats back
to its hiding place.

Hi Dave,

Unlike CODE, in Remote Systems LPEX Editor, when you convert, it is done in
place in your member. No new file is opened.
I would note that the conversion provided (in both editor) only performs
conversion which provides truly equivalent code. In some cases, exact
conversion is not possible, and so no conversion occurs.
This sounds like it might have been the case here - although it would have
been nicer if the message issued indicated that the conversion was not able
to convert any lines. I have opened a requirement to address this.

thanks,

WDSCi 7.0.0.1

I select some fixed-format RPG, right click, and choose Convert Selection
to
Free-Form. It says 'Conversion complete.' Um, where the heck did it put

it? In CODE, a new window opens with the converted code in it so it can
be
saved or copied to wherever it's wanted. This doesn't appear to be so
friendly - or do I have one of the zillions of settings wrong someplace?

Thanks.
