The "Refresh Cache" checkbox you're referring to never remains checked
for me. There are times when it'd be handy that it remained checked,
though the majority of my verifying doesn't use the refresh.

Hi Justin,

While you are changing the externally described file, you may want to
check the option of refreshing cache. This can be found in
Winodws->Preferences->Remote Systems->iSeries->Program Verifiers. Check
the box with "Refresh Cache".
This will ensure that the verifier and the outline view pick up the
external descriptions from the host.
Once you are done with changing the externally described files, you
should uncheck this option for performance reasons.

I have added new records/fields to an externally-described display file
but the Verify does not see them. Under v6, clearing the cache would
solve the problem but it does not with v7.

How do I get Verify to see the new records/fields?
