Re: Clarification of Installation via IFS

We were told Tuesday  by support that the PTF's are no longer available. 
(I hope they changed their minds) IBM  had pulled them, unless they have 
put them back by now.   It was taking us couple hours each to download 
each one and when the operations guy got back to it on Tuesday he started 
to get errors  "not available"  and  WDSc support said that even despite 
their protest saying that customers had been told they could get it this 
way! they were pulled

Bob,

If you download & install the PTF's then the install image goes into the 
IFS.

If you download from ESS (or Passport Advantage?), you end up with .ISO 
files on your PC that you can
either burn to disk or extract to anyplace you want.
