Hmm... I downloaded WDSC 7.0 and didn't see CODE as an option during the
install (and inherently VARPG from the sounds of it). I just went into the
Install Manager and didn't see an option to add addtl software (i.e. VARPG)
either. Maybe I need the "hardcopy" of the CD's instead of the .iso images?

VARPG is installed with CODE/400, and is on that CD.

As I mentioned, we have one application that was written in it years ago for
a company that we subsequently merged with. I haven't been able to spend
the time playing with it that I'd like. The app is kind of neat, but the
original authors were using a very old version and were old-style coders, so
I'm not fond of the program itself, which is a huge monolithic thing. I can
see the potential, though.

I did read the future directions statement, but I'm a little unsure about
what it really means. If we'll be able to continue using this old code
without too much effort, then we will, but if it's going to need a major
reworking (or a big cash layout) to put it into this projected tool, we'll
have to review our options.

Man, all this luv for VARPG has got me curious. How does one get access
to
it? I just checked my WDSC installs and didn't see anything.
