I'm about to post an Installation Review on i5TV (I'm editing it now) and then
we're going to start working on on-line tutorials for WDSC 7.
The things to watch out for or consider are minimal:
If you don't need your WDSC 6 connections and projects, delete them.
If you don't need your WDSC 6 install, uninstall it.
Override the destination location (folder) to a more meaningful name.
When the Welcome screen appears, those little pictures on the screen are
interactive icons and you need to cursor over the backwards pointing arrow and
click it to enter the IDE, which they call the Workbench.

You may also have to make sure that you have DDM running on your iSeries.
STRTCPSRV *DDM
You may also need to start your host servers, but you probably already have
those running.

Other than that, it seems to be working fine.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] installing version 7.0

Morning;

Our company seems to be getting serious about going to wdsc. Currently, I
have 6.0.0.1 installed on my pc, and haven't used it much since it's a lot
different, and still seems faster to me to do development in green.

My question is what are the steps and pitfalls in installing v7.0

Also, is there an on-line tutorial where I can begin learning how to use
it?

Appreciate your help
