This may not be the right list for this, but I'll give it a shot here.

I have a web service that is updating a DB2/400 file.

3 of the fields in the file are defined as packed.

4 are defined as character and 1 is defined as Zoned Decimal.

In my PCML, if I define the zoned decimal field as ZONED, the web
service fails trying to map that data.

If, on the other hand, I define that field as Packed in the PCML, then
it works fine.

I am sure it is hitting the correct file and I am sure it works as I've
described it here.

I do not understand why wouldn't I want to define a ZONED decimal field
as ZONED in the PCML. It seems to me that PACKED would cause the data
to shift the and the remaining fields after would be in the wrong
position.

Thoughts?
