Off the top of my head, isn't  "SUBSTRING" in SQL?

Well of course not, I just tested it with STRSQL,  both SUBSTR and
SUBSTRING worked.   Probably has something to do with the compilier.

The above is strange and happens fairly regularly.  The statement is not
in error and executes just fine.  How come?
